Synchromodal transport planning considering heterogeneous and vague preferences of shippers

چکیده

In synchromodal transport, a freight forwarder usually serves multiple shippers with heterogeneous and vague preferences, such as low-cost, fast, or reliable transport. Ignoring shippers’ preferences will negatively impact the satisfaction of lead to loss them in longer run. order incorporate these Synchromodal Transport Planning Problem Heterogeneous Vague Preferences (STPP-HVP) is proposed formulated mathematical model. (HVP) are modeled through Multiple Attribute Decision Making approaches that integrate fuzzy set theory. The model has two objectives, i.e., maximizing number served requests minimizing transportation cost. constraints needs satisfy preferred levels for each attribute. A heuristic algorithm (Adaptive Large Neighborhood Search) find (near) optimal solutions. case study European Rhine–Alpine corridor demonstrates can provide more attractive solutions compared optimization which ignores preferences. Under various scenarios, attributes, cost, time, emissions, reliability, risk damage, analyzed modes routes suggested according HVP. Moreover, results show conflicts among shippers, between resolved by making one actor satisfied without compromising any other actor’s

Rationalization of choice when preferences are vague

In this paper, we discuss the decision situation where the (vague) preferences are represented by fuzzy relations. There are two ways to interpret this situation: (i) an individual decision maker chooses perfect rankings from a set and uses that combination of rankings as her/his preference ranking. (ii) or a group of decision makers are reporting perfect rankings but their group decision is a ...

VAGUE RINGS AND VAGUE IDEALS

In this paper, various elementary properties of vague rings are obtained. Furthermore, the concepts of vague subring, vague ideal, vague prime ideal and vague maximal ideal are introduced, and the validity of some relevant classical results in these settings are investigated.

Towards an IT-based Planning Process Alignment: Integrated Route and Location Planning for Small Package Shippers

To increase the efficiency of delivery operations in small package shipping (SPS), numerous optimization models for route and location planning decisions have been proposed. This "operations research view" of defining independent problems has two major shortcomings: First, most models from literature neglect crucial real-world characteristics, thus making them useless for small package shippers...
